Econic has some of the most knowledgeable people in the renewables industry; with particular specialisation in the heat pump and solar thermal areas. We are constantly working on developments to make sure we have the best solutions for our clients heating and hot water needs.

We pioneered areas such as concentric ground collectors installed using hydraulic pushing methodology. We have also been at the forefront of work in the energy or thermal piles area to integrate the thermal collector with other construction elements, the prime objective of which is to lower overall costs, whilst increasing the speed of installation without compromising operational efficiency. We now have a leading market position for people interested in this technology.

Other areas we have been working on are interseasonal heat storage, car park and road heat generation and storage etc.

We also look at developments to ensure that our systems work as effectively as possible such as:-

• thermal transfer fluids to enhance their efficacy and longevity
• remote monitoring and control and the use of 'fuzzy logic' to enhance the energy efficiency of systems

Econic has solid relationships within national and international academic institutions, industry bodies and trade associations. These connections mean that we are involved with developing best practice guides and training courses, assessing new techniques and products and more importantly are pushing renewable technological advances within a wider policy framework.
